BESPOKE JEWELLERY
FLORAL CUFFLINKS
The client wished to commission a pair of cufflinks for his wedding attire, imbued with something personal. After an initial discussion, we chose to incorporate the names of his wife and daughter, symbolised by the flowers Rose and Iris.
We translated this concept into a refined design, featuring the flowers on one side and a petal motif on the other connected by a branch in the middle. Thus creating a versatile, dual-sided composition that can be worn in multiple ways. The cufflinks were executed in silver, resulting in a subtle yet meaningful piece that celebrates family, love, and connection through an elegant and timeless design language.
FRIENDSHIP BROOCHES
The client wanted to gift his closest friends a small jewellery brooch that would symbolize their friendship. The design was inspired by a blooming flower, when brought together, the individual pieces form a single flower, while each brooch will be worn independently, representing individuality while remaining part of something meaningful and unique.
The initials of each person were subtly incorporated into the petals, adding a personal touch to the design. To introduce colour and further emphasize the connection to nature, enamel was used to highlight the organic, floral elements of the piece.
BRUSHSTROKE
The client commissioned a custom necklace to commemorate a significant occasion. From her personal gemstone collection, she selected a beautiful peridot that she wished to feature in the design. She was also particularly drawn to the distinctive aesthetic of the Be My Muse Collection and wanted elements of its design language to be incorporated into the piece.
The result was an elegant 18kt yellow gold pendant that harmoniously brought together both inspirations. The peridot and the brushstroke details became the focal points of the design, creating a piece that felt both personal and cohesive.
ACADEMY BADGE
Mass Lee was commissioned to design an alumni badge for Antwerp's Royal Academy of Fine Arts. The design playfully considered the many ways individuals choose to wear jewellery, as well as the diverse techniques taught and practiced across the school's different departments and the Academy's iconic Ox symbol.
The final piece evolved into a versatile jewel that functions as both a brooch and a necklace, offering four different ways to wear it. Each year, graduates of the Academy receive their own Mass Lee jewel, creating a lasting connection between the alumni and the institution while celebrating their achievement.
